The first coworking space

On 9 August 2005, a certain Brad Neuberg created the very first Coworking space in San Francisco, located within the walls of Spiral Muse, a feminist collective. Neuberg had friends at Spiral Muse and shared his idea with one of them, Elana Auerbach. She agreed the use of the Spiral Muse space twice a week for a total of $300 per month allowing Brad to benefit from all the profits made beyond.
